Only you can answer this question. Do you know anything about the sport? Certainly you could not watch someting that you think you'd be bored. Get some info on the sport, ask questions and then go for it. Maybe you'll be a soccer fan and maybe not.

I assume you are in the US by your reference to soccer, rather than football. As mentioned there is a lot of hype at present with the arrival of David Beckham, so I would imagine it is generally going to be a positive time for the sport in the US. I would recommend attending a live game first rather than watching on TV. That is what will get you hooked if anything does. You could watch a Major League Soccer game, which I assume is the closest approximation to European leagues - see how it goes, if you are open to sports you should find it interesting. Try to go with a friend who knows the game well

If you need a nap, sure, why not.

Just make sure that you watch high profile matches. I like to watch the ones on the Spanish channels because the announcers get so hyped about the action that it is amusing just to listen to their commentaries.

If you like playing soccer, i would STRONGLY recommend you watch it too! it is so cool to see how good some of these people are, plus you can even learn some new moves from them!

yeah football is quality you should try and watch some games from the premiership in england some of the worlds best players in this league. a team that i would reccomend to watch is tottenham. they're probably one of the best teams in there. i suppose you could watch teams like man u, arsenal, chelsea, liverpool. but at the end of the day these 4 teams are all scum,!!

Yeah watch the same sport that 2.5billion watch. 2.5billion cannot be wrong. Besides running about with the ball in your arms and catching it does not take as much skill.

First you need to stop calling it soccer and start calling it FOOTBALL. And yes you should start watching it assuming you like a game where the objective is to use SKILL and not force.
