Once your credit report is ordered, there will be links link for you to dispute a credit item. They will want your Full Name, Address, and Previous Address, Social, Birthdate and maybe a security question to get pass. Then you provide the reasons for your dispute and they will open an investigation. Within 30 days, if you disputed online, you will receive an email when a resolution has been received you can click on the link and go to the website of the Credit Bureau to see the results of your dispute. If you wrote in within 30 days you will receive an updated credit report with the results. You wil also have the option of putting in a fraud alert on your credit report so no one can falsey open credit or make unlawful reports without you being contacted first. You can also go to GetTheExperts.com website and they can get you an identity theft plan.
