Been there, done that. The U.S. Army's 2nd Infantry Division. Camp Casey/Camp Hovie. Tondushan was the name of the village outside of Hovie and Tokori the village outside Casey. I would go back in a heartbeat! Incredible experience! Beautiful country, wonderful people, Very reasonably priced goods and services. On the weekends I and 1 or 2 friends would walk off into the countryside to some small village where we were the only "round eyes" in the village. Some of the most gregarious people I have ever met. For $50 we could live like kings for 2 full days! (Thanks for the memories.)

South Korea, maybe, North Korea, no. I might to forget to thank Kim Jong Il for a good bowel movement, or thank the great leader for allowing me to injure my back at work, and then get executed for it.

Yes, I was born in South Korea and lived there until I was 4. I then moved to Canada.
