I refuse to pay for TV. I currently receive only a few local channels. I'm hoping to get better reception. Can you recommend a type of antenna?

Well, if you have the TV, they have HDTV antennas now. That would let you get a HDTV signal over the air....well worth it. They don't cost more than any other antenna either.
