How often do you go on a ""real"" vacation, (away from the house)?

Everytime my family comes to visit (my full family) I either leave to stay at someones house over night, or lock myself in my room.

I think once a year I take leave and go somewhere I havent been. (Being in the army that is hard)....;)

I haven't been away on vacation since October of 2002. Before 2003, I would go away at least 3 weeks a year. Because of pets and nobody to watch them, I can't get away anymore.

We try for once a year. Everyone says I need a break from my life so for a least 4-5 days (if I can find a babysitter in my family that's willing) we like to get away. I can't wait until my son's father signs his passport papers. Then I'll take my son with me.

Every once in a while. It's important to have some rest and relaxation in your life.

Too often - my husband is always trying to drag me off somewhere. I just want to have a "holiday" in my own home, on my own property, without being bothered by anyone or anything. I just want to go for rides on my horse and lay by the pond and float around in the pool and know i don't have to do paperwork for my husbands business or babysit for the kids or entertain yet another visitor or deal with family issues. Even just one weekend would be nice.

We used to be the most vacation people I had ever met. But now we try to go someplace about 3 times a year. However we have special 'play days' or weekends all the time. Nothing refreshes us like exploring and adventures. And we do live in a beautiful area with woods and water all around us. It always feels like vacation here at home.

Not very often....we just don't have the money. It's been several years since I've done anything more than a 3 day weekend. And the last 3 day weekend "vacation" I took was a year and a half ago.
