  • If everything you say is right, the only element missing is spark. If it has fuel and is turning over, something is not allowing the spark to ignite the fuel.
  • Does your car have spark? If not then it,s most likely the pick-up coil inside the distributor itself or the main coil - one of the two.
  • Take distributer cap off and have someone crank engine. See if rotor button rotates. If not, then the plastic gear on the bottom of the distributor shaft needs replacing and/or the shaft itself has seized.
