Sometimes yes and sometimes no. It’s nice to be kind. Some nice people are kind to both people they know and to strangers as well but not everyone is like that. Some kind gestures may have a motive or not as it depends on the person. For instance when I donate to certain charities, I do it because I feel sorry and my heart goes out to people suffering in poverty and those who are homeless.
