  • Not only were the milk and cookies gone but there were now presents for everybody and the cards on all of them read they were from Santa. Neither do I have any problem believing Mark Twain wrote "Tom Sawyer."
  • I felt ambivalent about Father Christmas as a child, I liked the idea of getting presents, but I was scared about the idea of a strange old man entering my home at night. I did leave milk and cookies for him and a carrot for Rudolph, (I think I'd rather bump into a reindeer that a strange old man while nipping to the loo at night). Of course found out pretty quick it wasn't true because my sister showed me all the presents were in my parents cupboards on Christmas Eve.
