  • Remember how Trump didn't want to release his income taxes when he ran for president, breaking an almost 100 year tradition? Remember how those were leaked online anyway? Well, that's essentially the spark of all of this. There's a discrepancy between his tax documents and the documents he used to value his income and properties in order to boost his credit rating to borrow more money. Deliberate misrepresentation of facts on paperwork for the sake of gaining a financial advantage constitutes fraud. That's why they are going after him.
