Why is the MV Wilhelm Gustloff not talked about as much as the Titanic?
The sinking of the ship caused an estimation of up to nearly 10,000 deaths in 1945 in comparison to 1,517 who died in the Titanic.

The Titanic was full of rich people, was advertised as unsinkable, and sank on her maiden voyage during peace time. The Wilhelm Gustloff was a naval ship named after a Nazi, full of Nazi military and refugees of war who were Nazi German citizens that was sunk by a Soviet Submarine. It's tragic that so many civilians were on board, but I kind of understand why it's not really talked about outside of Germany and Russia.
