Both. But I don't like too much mustard in the potato salad. Still both are usually laden with unhealthy mayo type fat and both are high in carbs.

I definitely prefer potato salad. Lots of pasta salads are - well - very vinegary tasting. There are good pasta salads, but no matter where you go, usually the potato salad there tastes better than the pasta salad there.

  I use mayo, ranch, or thousand island on my pasta salad. I don't like the vinegary dressings either.
