  • I usually find that it helps to just lie it in the empty pan, then pour boiling water from the kettle over the top and let it simmer on a medium heat with the lid off until it's al dente, rather than vigourously boiling 'til it's soft. And don't stir it. Check if it's tender by just poking with a spoon gently. The idea is to get as little movement as possible going on. Hope that helps.
  • Heat up your water in a deep skillet. Turn it down to barely simmering and drop in your nest carefully. They will stay in shape pretty well.
