I'm looking for a way to convert letters to numbers using VB. It will call upon a text file and use that data. A little hobby project I'm doing and I can't find any instructions on the net. Help?

That sounds like a fairly simple programming exercise. Have you taken a course in VB programming or read a book about it? You would also need to be very specific about how you want the letters converted into numbers, in order to be able to program it.

I don't really understand what you mean. What about some kind of switch case statement, something like SWITCH variable case a number = 1 case b number = 2 etc?
