Definitely don't agree with all my friends all the time. It's usually just people I have talked to for a while. If I enjoy reading answers from them I will send a request.

This is how I "choose" my friends (actually, I don't think we really consciously "choose")..those people that are kind, helpful, considerate and convey the feeling that I'm a good person and they enjoy being in my company...over time that's who my friends are..I really don't think it's a conscious choice for me..rather an evolution of growth of communication that gets ever more comfortable, trustworthy and pleasant...agreement is not one of the things I'm looking for...:)

I choose my friends because they exhibit both.

I choose most of the people that I talked to when I first join AB and some choose me. Also I went for people that I always read what they say of look for them when I'm online

I generally make my decisions regarding my AB Friends list based on how often I find myself seeking out and/or enjoying their Q&A already, if I think I do it often enough that having immediate access would save me time, then I add them. And of course, I also consider whether or not I want them to be able to have the same easy access to my Q&A, you always have to remember that it's a two way street. But in either case, whether I agree with them or not doesn't have much to do with it, I can enjoy a question or an answer as insightful or funny or well written no matter what opinion it happens to state.
