Does anyone like Fruitcake for the Christmas Holiday I like it ?

Yes, even though all fruitcakes are not created equal, I usually like them. I have baked a few of them too. I have an old English recipe that calls for baking it in late Oct. or early Nov. and wrapping it up with cheese cloth and basting it frequently with rum or brandy up until you serve it at Christmas.

dalcocono It is good. Lots of butter and nuts and candied and dried fruit. Alas, I didn't bake any this year. No delivery possible. Happy Christmas anyhow. -
Linda Joy GASP! Are you saying something happened to USPS, Fed-EX, UPS, AND Amazon? Then I guess you'll just have to give up the recipe! I see no other alternative!

I've always hated fruitcake. They used to serve it at school lunch all the time and I used to trade it for something else. Its one of those things that should never been invented. https://www.chron.com/culture/main/slideshow/15-things-better-left-uninvented-72972.php
