  • Being a cop is dangerous. I have been wondering, these past few weeks, how the police will deal with the pandemic. Even a simple traffic stop to issue a speeding ticket could be deadly, if the driver didn't wash his/her hands before handing over paperwork. What about going into a person's house? If they perform a search of a person's body, they typically wear protective gloves, but what happens when those gloves run out and they can't buy more?

They're not even making traffic stops! And they are releasing criminals!

Well, I'm sure it's a very unpopular opinion, but I don't think they should be holding nonviolent criminals in prison anyway. Lock up the violent people and make everyone else pay a fine. If you absolutely have to lock up the thieves and parking-ticket-forgetters, then put them into a debtor's jail instead of bunking them up with a guy who makes Charles Manson look like Mother Theresa.
  • No. Quite the opposite. Now the cops can arrest and pat you down for breaking lockdown or nearly everything else, and don't need a warrant. It's the social distancing and lack of testing availability that is causing problems in the courts and legal system
