  • Yes, whenever I make bread. I've also made alcohol with yeast and sugar and have experimented with keifer. Of course I've fermented milk in the fridge on accident and used it in place of buttermilk. It can also be made into farmer's cheese. I vaguely remember experimenting with homemade yogurt, but that was just too much work for the product. And I've made homemade tofu from homemade soy milk back when I still had a machine. And I once had some fruit cups that turned sour so I made alcohol out of them. I've helped my mother make pickles, and I've made homemade apple cider vinegar. I think that's it. What have you made?

"What have you made?"...I've made a lot of things you listed. I just made a batch of sauerkraut and my black bean natto turned out great,..I'm going to make some more Kimchi when I can buy some fresh Napa cabbage...I'm still contemplating on making miso...Thanks, .

I don't like sauerkraut! But its good for you! Never tried black bean natto, though I do cook black beans.

      Thanks, Pearl.
  • I like making my own bread, and I've made my own kimchi, once. The bread is pretty good, but the kimchi was a little funky-tasting; however, I ate it anyway, and lived to tell the tale.
