My mom still calls me her little boy. -Sigh.-

My father never called me "my little boy". It was "son" or my name. ~~~~~edit He called me that in both English and Romanes (chavvo in Romanes)

I can't remember when they stopped calling me that, but I know for a fact that's how they still think of me and I'm old enough to be the father of most people on this site and the grand father of quite a lot.

My dad died 4 months before I was born and mom kept calling me her little girl until she died on March 17, 1993 at the age of 87, She was 50 when she had me.

As a middle child, I was never called "my little boy". But my mother (keep in mind I'm 41) still calls me her boy.

My dad stopped calling me "daddy's little girl" when he disowned me at age 23. When we reconciled about two and a half years later, he started again. I don't mind.

Just before they passed away. I was ALWAYS their little boy. I still call my adult children my little boy and little girl. I want to preserve the illusion. ;-)

My mom still does. She introduces me as "her little girl" sometimes and people think it's funny. I do too. I don't mind it. She always says a daughter may outgrow your lap but she'll never outgrow your heart.
