100 tomato plants are a lot of work, but it comes with it's own rewards. Trimming off the "suckers" wasn't the most fun for me, but I loved the smell that was left on my hands afterwards. And of course there's nothing like eating a tomato fresh off the plant, right there in the garden. I use to have a little plastic salt & pepper shaker with a flip open lid that I carried around in my shirt pocket (in case of an emergency tomato eating). I planted a very large garden every spring, for 25 years, until I sold that property. Like I said it's a lot of work keeping up with it all, but it's well worth the effort. Enjoy your garden. : )

Ditto! And if you prune off some of the leaves more of the plant's energy will go to growing more and better fruit. But it must have enough leaves for photosynthesis. Have fun!
    • Ice man
That is what is meant by removing the "suckers". The suckers rob the plants of their fruit growing energy.
  • Same thing, different day. Study, worry about the test then study some more. Seriously, I am really tired of the whole thing.
