Help answer this question below.

If people keep going to Hell, wouldn't Hell eventually run out of room? What does the Bible say about Hell's space availability?

Isaiah 5:14 records that "hell has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure."

Hell has plenty of room. But thank God, so does heaven. :)

Acts 2:38 was the starting point for the early church, when it came to what to do to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is plenty of room at the cross of Jesus Christ for all who want to find His redemption.

TulsaDavid: Stephen would never have been able to preach to the Ethiopian eunuch without the Old Testament (Acts 8:26-32). He preached Christ to him from Isaiah 53. In fact, the New Testament church only had the Old Testament from which to preach, until the apostles wrote their letters to the churches that had been built on Old Testament preaching about Christ. The Old Testament is absolutely beautiful, and the New Testament church never once considered it a paradox. Thank you.

- FYI,...
  It was Philip the Evangelizer who preached to the Ethiopian eunuch, not Stephen.
  Also, Jesus quoted from the 'Old' testament consistently when answering questions, as did the Apostles.
  The Hebrew and Greek scriptures are complementary,...they complete one another.

It also says in Revelations that at the Great White Throne Judgement that hell(And Death) will give up the dead that are in them.And those (not found in the Book of Life)(Which anyone in hell won`t be)will be cast into the Lake of Fire for ever. Also hell itself(And Death) will be cast there.So that suggests that hell is only a holding tank until the judgement.Rev.20:11-20:15 But hell was not made for mankind!It was made for the devil and his angels.So as long as were still alive the choice is still ours to receive Gods pardon(Jesus Christ) for our sins.Or reject it.

Isaiah 5:14 records that "hell has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure."

That hell has enlarged itself suggests that it was once smaller than it currently is. So taken literally hell is finite, and may well run out of room. At any rate the ratio of demons to lost souls would be getting bigger ever day, unless the demons themselves are having baby demons.

The following is supposedly an actual question given on a University of
Washington chemistry mid-term exam.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas
cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.

As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different
Religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell.

Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not
belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls
in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of
the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the
temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has
to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in
Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

We accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year
that, "it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you", and take
into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number 2 must
be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen
over.

The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct...leaving only Heaven thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."

THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A"

Well, I don't know but I'm worried. Like Mark Twain, I WANT to go to hell. I can spit, play pool, tell dirty jokes. . .all the good stuff. If it's full and I have to go worship god by sitting at his feet and singing hymns, I'm in HELL!

- The bible says theres pleasure in sin--for a season. But it also says--the wages of sin is death! I hope you live a long life! Because you will be in for a big surprise when you realize that hell isn`t the party you thought it was going to be! And it will be too late then! But theres still time for you, if your reading this. In the United States, both a national “Christian” television network and an evangelical newsletter reported that scientists had discovered “hell” while drilling in Siberia! The magazine Biblical Archaeology Review wryly summarized one such account.
Allegedly, a team of Finnish and Norwegian scientists were in Siberia drilling deep into the earth’s crust as an experiment. They were quite surprised when, several miles below them, the drill bit began to spin in empty space! They were even more surprised when they found that the temperature down there was over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit [1,100° C.]! They were most surprised of all, though, when they lowered a microphone down the hole and subsequently heard thousands—perhaps millions—of human voices, all screaming in agony! So unnerved were the scientists, the story goes, that many abandoned the project. Some were sworn to secrecy, while others converted from atheism to “Christianity” because of this proof of hell.
Not surprisingly, those who printed and repeated this story claimed that it was well documented. Rich Buhler, host of a radio talk show, wrote in Christianity Today that he and his staff tried to follow up on such reports. Under investigation, one source evaporated in a tangled web of articles that quoted from letters that were quoting from equally unsubstantiated articles.
The other source was a letter from a Norwegian man who, upon inquiry, frankly admitted that his letter was a fake. He sent it simply because he felt sure it would be believed and publicized. No doubt he realized the sad truth about far too many religious organizations—they believe what they want to believe.
In the Hebrew Scriptures of the Bible the word “hell” is translated from the Hebrew word sheol. It occurs 65 times and in the Authorized King James version Bible is translated 31 times “hell,” 31 times “grave,” and 3 times “pit.” In the Greek Scriptures of that Bible version the word “hell” is translated from the Greek word Hades in all of its ten occurrences. Both sheol and hades mean the common grave of mankind, and never relate to pain or fiery torment or to anyone living several miles below the surface in Siberia!

If you have read any of these you may have noticed that almost all point to the same four or five “proof” scriptures, such as Jesus’ story of the rich man in hell, the undying worms and unquenchable fire of Mark 9:44, the “everlasting punishment” of Matthew 25:46 and the “lake of fire” five times mentioned in the book of Revelation.
  Still does not the account of the rich man in hell put flames in Hades? Jesus said: “The rich man died and was buried. And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, he existing in torments, and he saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus in the bosom position with him. So he called and said: ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in this blazing fire.’” (Luke 16:22-24, NW) Bible dictionaries list Jesus’ story as a parable. But hell-fire teachers say, No, that it is not a parable. So let us read the account, taking it literally as the hell-fire teachers say we must.Taking it literally, we have a rich man going to a place of torment for no apparent reason other than the fact that he was rich. Are all rich people bad? Are all rich people going to a red-hot hell?

- The poor man goes into Abraham’s bosom. Are people going here just because they lack money? Is there enough room for all the poor people in the world to recline on Abraham’s bosom? Obviously, Bible scholars admit, Abraham’s bosom has to be interpreted figuratively. So since the fate of the poor man is symbolic, then, if the story is to be consistent, the fate of the rich man also must be symbolic. Further, if the “blazing fire” were literal, would the rich man ask for just one drop of water? Could even a bucket of water, much less a drop, get near a blazing hell? Taken literally, the account is worse than absurd: it outrages reason! Jesus spoke a parable, a story with symbolic meaning.
  The parable showed how the Jewish clergy, pictured by the rich man, were self-righteous. They wore the fine linen and had good things. Lazarus pictured the remnant of Jewish people of faith despised by the clergy and who were spiritually hungry. The death of the two men pictured a change in the two classes. Jesus tormented the clergy by exposing their greed and their false teachings and their hypocrisy. This, as it were, “burned up” the clergy. The heat was on. So they had to get rid of Jesus, It has shown that Hades, Sheol or hell is the common grave of mankind.

- The lake of fire has a meaning similar to that of “the fiery Gehenna [hell fire, King James Version]” that Jesus spoke of. (Matthew 5:22; Mark 9:47, 48) Gehenna occurs 12 times in the Christian Greek Scriptures, and it refers to the valley of Hinnom, outside the walls of Jerusalem. When Jesus was on earth, this valley was used as a garbage dump, “where the dead bodies of criminals, and the carcasses of animals, and every other kind of filth was cast.” (Smith’s Dictionary of the Bible) The fires were kept burning by adding sulfur to burn up the refuse. Jesus used that valley as a proper symbol of everlasting destruction.
  As does Gehenna, the lake of fire symbolizes eternal destruction. Death and Hades are “hurled into” it in that they will be done away with when mankind is freed from sin and the condemnation of death. Willful, unrepentant sinners will also have their “portion” in that lake. (Revelation 21:8) They too will be annihilated forever. On the other hand, those in God’s memory who are in hell—the common grave of mankind—have a marvelous future a resurrection.
  
  The doctrine that hell is a place of torment is not based on the Bible. Rather, it is a pagan belief masquerading as a Christian teaching. God does not torture people eternally in hell. learning the truth about hell can affect your attitude toward God?

here is one of the verses the Holy bible says about hell.

***Revelation 20:15
And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.***

The people who arent gonna make it to heaven will be destroyed. doesnt matter how numerous the number of people, humans wont last long in a LAKE OF FIRE. so, picture being burnt by volcano lava... it takes seconds for a human to burn... do, there will always be space to destroy others.

hey all... here is a guide on the whole hell issue.

hell is capable of destroying all the fallen angels and all humans who didnt chose Jesus... and this is counting from ADAM's time till when Jesus comes.

The best part of this question is all the "informed" answers you are getting. Get real. No one knows who is in hell, if there is one, and most of all if you are an engineer as you state, you know that the laws of physics are physical and there is no worries about room after the physical plane is kicked.

Unfortunately, I just called Hell, and their rooms are all full. But, they said that you can reserve a space, and they will call you as soon as it gets open (when a soul has corrected it's wrong ways).
