right now i really like my boss... we went out last night and had some beers... we are about the same age and we are working at this summer camp so the atmosphere is a bit different than a regular job.

my boss is the biggest bitch i know to everybody in our office, but me. i have no real reason to suck up to her, but one night she and i somehow ended up going to a menonite gathering, (not sure if you know what menonites are, but they are similar to the amish, but more mainstream), and we just stuck out like sore thumbs, but it was nice to see my boss outside of work and interacting with other people in a casual way.

Nope. I have never been friends with any of my bosses. 99% of my bosses have been jerks or dumbasses, except my current one. But she's not the type of person from work I'd hang out with.

No, I wouldn't say I'm friends with my boss outside of work. I used to have a job where I was "friends"-ish. We would talk like friends, but we never "hung out" after work or anything. Though I did invite him to a UFC once. He had to work so it didn't work out. I genuinely had interest in his personality. It wasn't about brownie points. We just got along.
