Maybe. I'm not. I started out slowly... by asking about 8 users who'd been especially friendly to me from the start. :) I've since gratefully accepted the invitation of a few more great contributors, who I'm pleased to have been even noticed by (considering my short tenure). I take their gesture as a compliment that I'm writing semi-useful/interesting material, and am looking forward to getting to know them better. So I think I'll stick with this system... asking people whose work I admire (and who I think would say yes), and accepting invitations from people who like me once I register on their personal radar. :) I think if I just started adding scads of people randomly, or based on one answer of theirs I'd read, the whole idea would lose purpose.

I feel guilty because I have not sent any invites to people. That does not mean I do not want friends, I am very pleased that a lot of very lovely people have invited me onto their lists.
