I kept a big garden for years. All the hard work had it's rewards but pulling weeds was a never ending chore. Unfortunately I don't have the time for it anymore. : (

"pulling weeds was a never ending chore."...I'm also good at growing weeds... Even though some weeds are edible, I'm sure none taste as good as vine ripened tomatoes...Thanks, Ice man.

Actually I once managed to cover the side of a house with what grew from one rose bush that I encouraged back from death. It was a one inch nub, someone had mowed over. I spent time almost daily adding bits of trellace, and string, and clipping it in just the right ways to keep it expanding. Then came a day I wanted to impress a girl on a date...so I got advice from a chef on how to prepare a picnic that couldn't miss. It had every little detail thought of...and with a bottle of wine and a few of the roses I had grown (which I snuck onto the blanket when her head was turned), oh I just figured I was sooo smoooth. So...of course, she left me and went back to New York. And now I'm nothing but puppet stuffing and vinegar.

oh my no.........never could get into 'gardening' houseplants, all that stuff..........my family does though, so I'm the only one.........I get a jade plant from a friend that I really liked!! hardly ever had to water it, probably why, lol.......it was SOO lush and green.......it eventually died but I did like it......but probably wouldn't get another one.........ah, we all have our talents, right? just that mine don't run to the 'gardening' type! LOL :-D
