This shy guy I've known for over a year (we've been friends) grinded with me at our school's dance because he kept staring at me etc... I got his number (bc I asked for it) and a few days Later i tried to build a conversation wth him by being flirty but casual and he told me that he wasn't looking for a relationship right now because he was too busy with school and family (he plays a sport all year round and is in honors classes so) he said he was 80% busy , only 20% "uninterested" in a relationship... but that he still wanted to be my friend and we ended the conversation with him saying he'd let me know when he wasn't busy... then in school we still said hi to each other every time we saw each other and stuff and one of his best friends that I'm also close friends wth started teasing him and making him blush whenever I walked up to them. Like his friend smirked at him once when I walked up to them and said hi and my crush said "shut up" to his friend. Once I asked him to a school sports game and he told me he couldn't go (which didn't make me that upset because it was late at night and kind of a loose offer but..) anyway. His friend that I know also told me to be patient with him... but now it's two weeks later and Monday and I went into school and saw him four times where he could've said hi to me (like e usually say to each other) but he didn't. He avoided eye contact and pretended I wasn't there which made me confused. Why would he start acting even MORE awkward now?
