It depends mostly upon what the signed contract states. Most have some sort of a grace period. To the best of my knowledge, you might (after the grace period) be able to remove the item; but in order to scoop any actual money you would first need to have a Judgment against the person. If the person owing the money (via the Judgment) owns a business, and still does not pay, you have to have a debtor's exam...with the person and the Judge. The person is required to give information as to their bank accounts and their business location. Next if they still refuse to pay, you can request that a Marshal go to the business and do a TILL TAP. This costs you up front, but they also take the money to cover the cost. They go to the business for 8 hours a day and go until the entire amount has been paid, including their costs (charged to you). If it's an INDIVIDUAL PERSON, not a business owner then the same song and dance occurs, EXCEPT that the Marshal can go to their BANK and scoop their accounts..I believe to a particular percentage so as not to close it...but I may be wrong about this. You can also have them scoop a Business Account as well, if there is not cash coming into the business location.
