http://www.freecycle.org/ (I had to look it up) I haven't tried anything like that before, but it seems like a really nice pay it forward type deal.

Yes. It's a great resource.

Yes, quite often. I've been given a large computer monitor and a sorely needed toaster oven, some bicycles (fix'er uppers, but they work well now) and various other things. We've given away lots of stuff on it.

My favourite re-gift was a year-old Linksys Wireless-G router with Speedbooster (which I couldn't have afforded to buy at the time). It still provides all the wired/wireless Internet in my house. Thanks friend, wherever you are. :)

i'm on it, but haven't gotten any-thing yet.

I sure do. Besides the good feeling of giving to others and the opportunity to preserve the environment, I guess the nicest thing that I have been given is a yoga mat that someone had hand-made. I also got a bread-maker, a VCR, a microwave oven for our office at work, lots of perennials, a cell phone and some hamster cages. I have given away hundreds of items that had been cluttering my house(s) for years and that I had moved from house to house becasue I just knew that someday I would find a way to get them to someone who could use them. I have given away things like bags full of wine corks (for crafts), appliances, clothes, even a back porch. I posted a bookcase once and had 24 people ask for it!!

My Grandmother's cast iron cookware.

We picked up a nice yard swinging bench...it's in great shape and we love it! That's the only thing I ever responded to for pick up...usually we are giving away! Compacting as we go!

well my mom does , she got us 2 bunnies and a cat !!! she has gotten a bunch of other stuff

I looked at it but I don't have a car so I can't go get stuff, and I don't have anything I want to get rid of. I think it's a great idea though.

Got some shelves and a table we needed, gave away 3 dolls houses, an exercise machine, a rabbit hutch, a sewing machine.

I love free-cycle. It has helped me get my house more organized. I'm always on getting rid of things. I have given away a 14' trampoline, lots of kids toys and clothes, bbq grill, and even game meat to clear my freezer before the next hunt. I have received lots of nice things also. Carpet shampooer, baby clothes, bassinet and few other things. Free-cycle is a wonderful idea but keep in mind it's not about receiving it's about giving!

i gave away one of my sons leap frog game that was in very good conditions also with the games.

I just got my daughter a double bed with a bookcase headboard. There was no mattress, but another freecycler had a set less than a year old and we got that. Saved me hundreds of dollars!

Picked up a Little Tykes large kitchen set for my youngest. That was the best, according to her ;) We have given away a lot too, wonderful idea to help those looking for free items in need, getting rid of items no longer needed and NO money needs to be exchanged! Great concept!

I recently got a sandwich/pannini/waffle maker and I love it. I make the most yummy waffles with it.
