In 1993, I was living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I was dating a black guy and I am white. This is just one of the instances of racism that I experienced while dating him. We were driving in our car at night and pulled into a gas station because we had a flat. He didn't put his blinker on to turn in. A cop that was at the gas station approached the car and asked to see our ID's. We thought that was odd but we gave it to him. He calls in back up and proceeds to question us on what we're doing. We told him we had a flat and that we were pulling in the station to fix it. He made my boyfriend put his hands on the car and searched him. I mean, he actually searched him. We asked him what was going on. He said we looked suspicious. Well, the back up showed up and they started to search the car. The took it apart. The looked everywhere. They also found nothing. We just stood by watching in complete disgust. Well, when they found nothing they told us we could go. The only problem was they had locked the keys in the car. The cops locked the key in the car. Can you imagine? And to top it off, they did nothing to help us get the car open. They just left us there.

I was working at walmart about a year ago in the fabrics and crafts dept. The Lady that worked with me was Puerto Rican. A customer came in to get some fabric cut and asked my co-worker to help her. Right has she was about to help her i came back from my break. So i asked her if she wanted me to take over (it was my duty to cut) so she could get back to her work and she said yes. When she walked away the customer said to me They should all just get in a boat and go back to where they came from. I guess she expected me to agree. Trying to stay calm (so not to lose my job) I explained to her that my coworker is from Puerto Rico a territory of the US and that she is considered an American Citizen.

I think the Rodney King incident was pretty disgusting

People who are white power disgust me. What is their definition of white? Are they saying anyone with a higher melanin level? So anyone in the whole world who has light skin ? That would cover just about every country, since anyone can be albino. Makes me sick to my stomach. It's the STUPIDIST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD OF IN MY LIFE.
