No, It has all happened before and it will blow over as it always does. A few Embassy staff removed and some retaliations. Posturing on both sides for a while, then apologies and agreements. Handshakes all round. Thankyou for a question that actually addresses an issue.

Russia has been exposed as the sham that it has always been. It has always used bully boy tactics but now it has no mates to back up it's impotent threats.

I`m a Russian woman, living in Russia, but I dodn`t know what bad we did last night towards the UK. I can tell you that in Russia we love this country very much ,and always want to be friends with it.

THANKS YOU FOR YOUR COMMENT, when I was writing the answer, I saw the date of the question, and I wanted to show with my answer, that it was not anythibg serious, and even you`ve writteh in your comment that you could not remember the reason .And I`m very glad because of it,as I wrote we love Great Britain here in Russia.
