  • In most US states, yes (if you're a man). In other countries, i don't know. Generally if your nearest common relative is a great grandparent, marriage is legal. Check at your county courthouse to be sure. That said, regardless of your feelings for the lady, i urge you to consider possible genetic consequences. Search your family for birth defects or mental impairment. If there is no sign of problems as far out as 3rd or 4th cousins, you might be safe. It's a big responsibility, one to weigh very carefully.
  • Well youre allowed to marry your first cousin in half the states in the US. Ask that question here www.cousincouples.com
  • It depends on where you live. In the US, the UK and most of the EU you are allowed to. But I would check with a doctor for advise on in-breeding.
  • It varies by state and country, but in the US most laws apply only to first cousins, and even then they apply in only about half the states. As to the genetic risk involved, it is negligable. Genetic studies and statistics have repeatedly demonstrated an only slightly higher risk of some birth defects in children born of first cousins. As the daughter of your 2nd cousin, the risk would be so slight as to be nearly non-existent.
