  • melting plastic. When we were younger, me and a friend would buy those huge plastic army men sets (300+ peices) at the dollar store, then use fireworks (bottle rockets, torches, M-80s, the usual) to destroy them in a 'battle'. Well one time a bottle rocket went wrong, sent the burning army man at me, and the plastic melted all over my arm.
  • I stuck my finger to a hot grill. I was a wee bit drunk and wanted some cheese on toast but I didn't know if the grill was hot enough so I tested it by touching it and my finger stuck to it. Not one of my most intelligent moments.
  • Mmmm! Breakfast! I've never had any really serious burns...probably the worst was a cigarette. Anyway, back to the topic of breakfast, Whatcha making?
  • Candle Wax and did it sting + 5 - thanks for the memory - lol
  • My wife!!!!!
  • Hot metal. One time I leaned against a coal-burning heater, without realizing it was on, and burnt a layer of skin off my entire arm.
  • someone once pushed me onto one of those hot pie ovens at a service station and gave me a third degree burn on my elbow. it hurt real bad. the worst part was we were driving home and it would be about 3 hours before we arrived home.
  • I fell into an open fire when i was four year old - don't remember much about it, but i still have the scars, so i can imagine it was painful! The hottest burn i can remember, was when i was conducting an experiment in chemistry class, and was disolving a piece of magnesium in Sulphur oxide, i can honestly say that a metal-burn is the most painful thing i have ever experienced!
  • Mine is about the same as you, a little cooking fat. But i used to look after an austic child and he once put his whole chest over an electric cooker stove, it was on full and he literally burned a whole in his chest! I did not know him at the time, but this was about 12 years after the event and he still needed to have a cooling pad strapped to his chest ALL THE TIME! Horible :(
  • I have had many burning materials on my skin but one of the most painful burning experiences was dropping a full bottle of perfume into my lap when I was sitting naked at the dressing table. I can assure your that BURNS and washing with cold water only seemed to make it worse.
  • My exhaust pipe, I have a huge burn to prove it!
  • When i was young once i got a plasticine onto an incandescent lamp. And after 10 minutes i tried to get it down using my fingers!
  • My other skin cells...HA!
  • Can't remember what it was, but it left a big blister on my pointer finger... despite having been warned it was hot as I reached for it... must have psychologically blocked the memory... thanks for dragging it back to the surface...
  • A pint of hot oil. I was sitting at a friends house cooking hush puppies. I was using her "Fry Baby". It was sitting on the table, and was plugged in underneath. I crossed my legs, caught the cord, and pulled it right off the table onto my arm and it spilled onto my lap and legs also. How I escaped with any scars is beyond me. The burn was very bad.
  • A beautiful blonde when I was much younger....actually, I was stocking a fire one time and accidently touched the stoker to my shin. Now have a permanent mark in a curved shape on my shin. Nothing like branding yourself. Not exactly how I pictured it in business school.
