Good answer. I agree. It's a dirty, easy-out tactic. Just like scratching. But females like to resort to this tactic, because they're generally weaker than men. Most men, however, are very protective of this area, so it sometimes backfires on a woman, and the man gets even more angry and violent. It's better for a woman to try other "dirty tactics". Most self-defense instructors recognize this now, that kicking the groin doesn't always work and can have the opposite effect if done incorrectly or you miss.

It's a groin kick unless its a girl then its never going to work but against dudes then it always works.

Actually, it does work against a woman, though not to the same extent.

This is also sort of correct. I wouldnt be too sure about the same extent thing. Women may (I said may, because having everything internal does NOT mean its safe) see it alot worse if a solid blow hits the spot.

I'm a woman and I have been kicked in the vagina. It pretty much felt like I was going to die. I was rolling on the ground in agony for a while, plus being laughed at by others was embarrassing.

Also, I have used a groin attack against another female quite effectively.

I love those idiots who says it doesnt work on a woman. Theyre probably stupid high school kids heavily influenced by todays movies etc.

Have you tried it? Maybe your too uncoordinated to know where to hit. It brings a woman down. Actually man or woman it doesnt matter.

Female anatomy also has clusters of nerves in their vaginal region, all sorts of pain receptors. Its a sensitive area. A sex organ...what more can I say?

Do you think that, because women have nothing EXTERNAL, that it makes it less dangerious?

I don't know if it would be considered self-defense, but I warned an ex BF not to hit me again and he did. It worked really well, as I was able to be out the door and long gone before he recovered. That was the only time I have ever kicked a guy there.

I agree. You did the right thing. Kick him and get away. I know from experience how painful it is. It usually stops the guy in his tracks and gives the girl a few minutes to get away.

One time. My brother was a bully, as kids. I used it reflexively. I would have never planned anything so cruel. I am generally a too-nice person. But I was AMAZED by the outcome. As soon as I realized what I'd done, I thought "I am going to die."

No such thing. He immediately dropped to the floor, and I DO believe that is the last time that bastard ever laid hands on me.

I feel for your brother. It's pure torture for us guys. Since there is really nothing we can do about the pain. We have to just suffer with it til it goes away on it's own.

yes many a time(used to play footbal with the boys and it could get violent) and it works a treat!! though i only used it in self defence!

When his unwelcome advance became too strong, my knee became a heat seeking missile finding its way to the guy's weakest part.
He doubled over, fell to the ground clutching himself and curled into a fetal position while I had time to escape. He was as helpless as a baby!!
