How bad is Kava for your liver, compared to alcohol?

Alcohol does way more damage. Kava if you get pure ROOT ONLY powder should have no ill effect on the liver. Any cases of liver damage from kava were do to carelessness in the preparation of commercial extracts which sometimes were made with other parts of the plant like the branches which contain hepatoxins.
