  • It's like a puzzle, people just think that a man and a woman fit together... That's an honest answer by the way, only intended to be moderately humorous.
  • There is a theory, one which I fully believe, that states that most rabid homophobes are repressed homosexuals. Another is that gay men, especially, are a threat to some straight men's masculinity. To me, these reasons are not valid. That does not stop them from existing.
  • These are some that I came up with... Some people are uncomfortable with their own sexuality, and are thereby threatened when they see two same gendered people happy, together, and in a functioning relationship. It's not the social "norm" and anything that deviates outside of someone's safety bubble makes them get loud and agitated. Some people think that if you can't breed, you shouldn't be engaging in sexual relations. Or... People are nosey and don't know how to mind their own business.

  • the only answer i have seen anyone use in a totally secular way is: gay sex is icky. OK i can accept that answer. it's direct. it's true from this persons point of view. the only counter argument i have for that statement is then don't have homosexual sex. unless i'm having sex with you you really don't have the rite to tell me how to express myself sexually.
  • Fear and ignorance of anyone/anything that's different. And also, the complete refusal to get to know us and learn any facts...instead, believing every lie, assumption and lame stereotype they've ever been told.
  • Take religion out of science, as it should be for every subject, and the answer to all of this is perfectly clear: whether nature, nurture, choice there's no reason to legally restrict same-sex relationships and sexuality
