Sure! I am almost fifty years old. I used to purchase them when I was in Junior and High School. I remember I paid either .50 or .75 cents for each one. My brother has a huge collection, most of them of "disco" music ones.
-
Yes, I had stacks of them. I had a record player that folded up like a suit case that I took everywhere I went. This is a great question. I love questions that make me think back to my childhood. Thanks.

When I was small, there was one by the counter that was still working at my home. At first I didn't know what it was, and I thought that the records were like flying saucers. But then I realized the truth about it. The machine doesn't work anymore, but my family still has the records.
-
Oh my goodness yes , Elvis Presley , Beatles and so many different one +5 Thanks for the memories - lol
-
Yes. I bought a bunch of them when I first started getting into music. The last one I bought I guess it was over 20 years ago. Then I bought much more LPs and Tapes, later of course CDs. I still keep some of those 45's, but my turntable is broken and haven't been able to fix it : (
-
I still do. And albums. Elvis, the Beatles, Tommy James and the Shondells, etc...
-
My dad had stacks of them, my brother and I used to throw them like frisbees and broke all of them
-
100's. my father sold records & tapes. i even had reel to reel.
-
I bought them when they were 99 cents each and you had to buy those yellow disks to play them on your record player. Oh the days I spent listening to Bobby Sherman.
-
Yep, and still have a few, some from the before my family moved here to the US frm Belgium in the late 50s. I think it's so cool tht they came back to America (the records) and now I still have them. I can still play them, too as we never gave up our turntable and it's a good one. There is something about rock and roll played on vinyl that is fitting. THe sound is different, better.
-
Yes, I still have many and buy more occasionally.
-
Yeah , still buy them now and I havn't got a record player ! I collect Oasis vinyl records , 45's , 12"'s and LP'S . Still got about 200 45's . If in good condition they can appreciate good money.
-
I had a whole bunch. I do remember having "Sugar,Sugar" by the Archies. LOL!
-
Plenty of them, actually. When my dad passed away, I inherited his collection. Some nice stuff in there too.

The first record (when they were actually vinyl records) was a 45. At this one store, each 45 came with a little round plastic disc we put in the center of the 45 so that it would fit on the turntable spike. The 45s were like $1.50 to $2.50 each. Man...I'm old.

It really freaks me out when a kid doesn't know this stuff!!! Aaagh! I try to keep up with the times, but sometimes I wish it were still that simple. Even though I use them quite a bit, MP3s are still freakin' me out...lol.

I have about 25 of them. I preferred albums, I own over 600 of them.
