  • No. I have been a cashier and I've also been in those same shoes. When you are a cashier, that's your job.
  • It doesn't annoy much about it. People make the mistakes, and sometimes go overconcered about a few items. Then of course if it's a huge stack of items, and the customer knew about the budget, then it does get frustrating.
  • Yes it would they should at least put it back themselves
  • I think it might be a little annoying, but I don't think it would bother me overly. Some people are not good at figuring out exactly how much they have to spend including tax and whatnot. Part of every job is dealing with its little annoyances.
  • It would drive me up a wall.
  • No. I have been on a budget before and only had a certain amount. Granted, I did try to keep a running tally in my head so as not to go over, but it didn't always work out that way. When I went over it was usually just one or two items. (I would usually ask if they wanted me to return them to the shelf)
  • No, it annoys me when I see a cashier get annoyed about things like that..they dont think about the person that doesnt have enough to pay for the things they bring to the checkout. I have seen more than a couple people in this situation and they always look embarrassed..why make it worse by showing annoyance with them over it. :)
  • I was a cashier and it didn't bug me. Sometimes you grab more then you have money for. And it was part of my job to put stuff back so I didn't care. Gave me an excuse to get off the register.
  • To be honest I may think to myself why did they not budget, but not all people budget in the same way I do, and you have to be understanding. As a cashier at the supermarket I had this happen numerous times, and it is embarrassing for the customer, so just be nice and it is all over in a few minutes. When you are down and out you don't need people to make a big deal of it in public.
  • I was a cashier, no, it didn't bug me, why should it? I was paid by the hour. I feft bad for someone who is in that kind of straint, more so if they were buying food. I think it's very rude when a cashier rolls her eyes or huffs or acts like his/her time is wasted. I don't like unfriendly people who work with the public.
  • I pray you are never in that same situation, not knowing if you have enough money for the things you need and then having to decide which items you will do without this week. Compassion goes a long way. I hope you can find some. I'm sure you will be in need of it one day yourself.
  • No because it will be my job to help others and not get mad at them. That why you have to be picky when you choose a job because you have to make sure what you want to do and what you have to do.
