Football, it is a game played where the rest of the world actually KICK the ball.

A game of football by its very name should be played by using your FEET.

I call it football for that is the proper term for it.Soccer is for those that don't know what international football is.Anyway it is hard to mix up international football and Canadian football.

I'm an American, so it's soccer. When I'm outside the US+Canada, it's football. I think it's good to observe local customs.

We should ask a bureaucrat about that. They know everything. And if you don't believe they do, just ask them and they'll tell you they do. Since they declared the tomato to be a vegetable while it's clearly a fruit, they obviously know things we can't imagine. But I'm most certain that American bureaucrats are much worse than Scottish ones.

Soccer, (: I've always called it by this. Everyone refers to football as the sport played on a gridiron. So we can't have two footballs. So that's football, and this is soccer. Wayy easier.

I call it soccer because that is what it is called here in the US. I understand that football is a better name for it, and would use it, but no one whould know what I was talking about.

I call it football, and I call the game with the oval shaped ball rugby. Apparently there is another game played with an oval shaped ball - American throwball I think it's called.

It's not about the shape of the ball, its aboot feet. If you call the game "football" you better not grab the ball with your hands.
