I've had great success with Enya and Bluebird engines. My Enya 40 has endured punnishment beyond belief ( augering 2 feet into mud and going through a barn wall (not door) at tremendous velocity) It still purrs like a kitten. The Bluebird is on my chopper and has had it's share of it's owner's clumsiness and still runs great.

If you are a beginner, you should look at the Cox .049 series. They are pretty cheap and they can take a lot of abuse. They are powerful enough to handle small to medium sized aircraft, which is what you are looking for in a beginning mode.

If you get past the beginner stage, you might want to spend some time in the hobby shop and talk to the sales guys about what you want to do. They are definately trying to sell you something, but if they think that they are going to get you as a long term customer, you will find that they have a lot of good advice to share.

Go to your search engine, type in "cox .049 engines" and you will be surprised with the amount of information that is available.
