What's wrong with kids these days? We have youngsters asking about sex and relationships on here that should be asking how to get gum out of Barbies hair... Am I the only one that feels this way?

Nothing is wrong with them, it is what they hear from people they are around or people talking on tv and so on. They are all interested in the topic and information is so easy to find online and in libraries. Think about it.

The thing that is wrong with kids these days that makes them curious about these things far too young is us. Adults, marketing, advertising, society, these are to blame, not the kids, they are only doing what they think they are supposed to be doing, what is expected of them.

I am sorry that they have been forced to grow up so fast by being bombarded with so much garbage. However, once you know something, it is hard to 'unknow" it and you need accurate information.

It's the Media, they hear about all this stuff on TV, and from songs. In my opinion, Kids nowadays are just way too exposed to this stuff. Ofcourse, there's an upside to everything. I just have yet to find out what it is. :P

Sometimes it's easy to forget that "childhood" is a relatively recent phenomenon, and that "kids" used to apprentice to trades or begin the family business not too long ago. Young marriage was also the norm, before we started spending years in post secondary education and working on our careers. The world is changing, and always has. Children have always adapted, and always will. Rather than fear for what you can't change, lend and ear and the benefit of your experience to a young person and answer their questions honestly. The truth can be enough to make a lot of them appeciate the simplicity that childhood offers.

It's scary when you read newspaper articles talking about: * Bratty PRE-SCHOOLERS demanding designer clothing from their parents (who stupidly give in and allow this) * Pre - teen girls freaking out/obsessing over weight! * Increasing numbers of 11-12 year olds having their first sexual experience! * 12 year old girls sending sexually suggestive photos on their mobiles (who on earth has a mobile at age 12?!) ..............FRICKIN CREEPY STUFF!!!
