How strange. According to Mirriam Webster it's carmel, but according to the Cambridge Dictionary Online and the Oxford Concise Dictionary it's caramel. But surely nobody says, "Creme carmel", do they?

i say carmel unless i'm dipping a sliced up apple in it or eating a little cube of it, then i say caramel .... i have no idea why i do that.
