It could be all kinds of things, you really need to take the poor little pup to a vet, they can help you more than we can.

If he won't eat, he could just have an upset tummy. If he won't drink-he needs a vet!!!! Always take it very seriously when your dog won't drink his water. I hope he has been vaccinated for parvovirus!

My suggestion would be to treat him to some delicious doggy treats or expensive doggy food for the week! If this does not help he might have eaten something bad get an x ray done or try this first then resort to plan b.

If he is refusing water...I would say call your vet NOW. Also, learn to take his temp...(ask your vet to show you when you take him in) A normal Temp should be between 100.4 and 102.2 if he was JUST playing..it may be slightly higher...at rest is the best time to take it. Also learn what his gums and eye membranes SHOULD look like color wise...so that you can tell if they appear to be paler than they should be. While any dog can go a bit off their feed for a day or two...(and some even quit eating if the food is simply not to their liking!)....it is always a concern if the dog is avoiding or refusing water in normal, healthy amounts... You can check him for dehydration easily by doing a Skin Pinch Test. Simply pinch a bit of his skin, near the shoulder is good...and let it go (you don't have to pinch it hard..just pinch it enough to raise a bit up) what you are looking for is HOW LONG it takes the skin to drop back down flat as it normally would be. The longer it takes to go back flat....the more dehydrated the dog is ..and then...the bigger emergency you are facing as the dog needs to be rehydrated ASAP...THIS can only be done quickly and successfully with the use of an I.V at a Vet's office or other professional medical team unit...it's not something you can do at home...unless you ARE a Doctor and know what you are doing! (and happen to have the fluids and equipment handy!) CALL YOUR VET....BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY.

Everyone is right, you need to take him to a vet. He could have an obstruction or some sort of illness. you can't rule anything out (even minor things) by waiting it out. It is possible that you could wait too long to help him. If you need numbers of cheaper vets in your area, let me know and ill give you some info. causeygirltherevenge@yahoo.com

my boxer was like this too. she was 7 months when she got really sick, and she wont eat, drink or anything. i didnt have the money to buy her food that day so i decided to give her a food that my dads dog eat. she eat some but after that she wont eat or drink. then she started vomiting, and have a runny poop. she was like this for less than a week. BOXER DOGS IS SO SENCETIVE SPECIALLY THERE STOMACH. SO ALL THE BOXER OWNERS OUT, DO NOT KEEP CHANGING YOUR BOXERS FOOD, AND DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY FOOD THAT ITS NOT FAMILIAR TO THEM.
