Does anyone elses cat come when you whistle? (Mine does...)

No. However, my Siamese Cat loves when the "red laser dot" comes out to play with her. It's attached to a small keychain. When she hears the sound of the jingle she will wake from a dead sleep to come and investigate the sound that brings out the red dot to chase.

That would worry me if somebody elses cat came when I whistled. I could finish up with a houseful of strange cats. I do not even have one of my own so that obviously would not come to me.

When I call my cat at the door about 3 other cats come, none of which are mine.

My cats come if and when they feel like it... or when somebody opens the cat food or treats!

I used to have a cat that came when you called him. Before he became deaf, I would rub my fingers or hands together, when he was inside, to call him. When he was outside I would call him by whistling and he would come running. He was a sweetheart.

I don't know how to whistle, but my cat comes when I call her name. I'm not sure if she really knows her name or if she's just responding to the pitch - it's higher when I talk to her. She can be on the other side of the house where I can't even see her, and unless she's in a deep sleep, she'll come to me. Of course, she always gets rewarded for coming. I always pet her at the very least. Usually I'll brush her and occasionally I'll give her a treat.

I don't whistle, but my cat definitely comes when I snap twice (if I snap once, she stops what she's doing because she knows she's in trouble).

YES! I thought it was the weirdest thing when he first came to me when I whistled at him like a dog. LOL. The same kind of whistle when you want a dog to come to you! He will come to you every time you whistle like that, otherwise good luck trying to get his attention, hahaha!
