  • He won't win in the end. He only wins when he successfully deceives people into rejecting the gospel of Jesus Christ. And scripture does call him the father of lies and the deceiver of the whole world. Scripture also says that the path to hell is wide and many are on it, while the path to salvation is narrow and few find it. However, to attempt to answer your question, the devil is as deceived as those he deceives. His purpose is to stop the impending judgment of God from happening by (1) annihilating the true church that Jesus Christ has on this earth, hence the term "the spirit of anti-christ", and (2) deceive all non believers to the point that their minds are blinded to the truth in God's Word involving what must be done to be saved. Hope this helps. If you wish more specifics, please add new questions, and I'll try to answer them as best as possible.
  • Another aspect of Satan personality is that, because of his rebellion against God, he has doomed himself to a miserable existence. As a result of this he hates the rest of us so much that he wants as many of us to share in his misery as he can. He may know that he will ultimately lose the battle for control of this world, but he doesn't care as long as he can spread the misery around.
  • Because God permits some of His creation to choose to rebel. In my own life, I can rebel against God and do what I please to spite Him. I can even persuade others to join me in my rebellion. For a time, God allows this because He allows us to choose. In the same way, Satan, another created being, chooses to rebel against the Creator and entice others to join him in his rebellion. Each time he succeeds in luring another created being to his side it is a small "win" for his side, but this is just temporary. The Bible indicates that there will be a final reckoning when each created being will be called to account for behavior and be rewarded or punished, so in the final analysis, he can't win the war, but he can win battles along the way. ___ Disclaimer: this answer assumes a Biblical Christian framework for the concepts of "God" "Satan" and "win." Other perspectives exist. I am convinced this one is right but you might disagree.
  • Satan will not win in the end. I believe what your referring to is why people turn to satan, do bad things, or why bad things happen to good people when there is a God. The simple answer is "free will". God gave every human being free will to choose what they want to do or what path they should take. Hence this is why people do bad things. They choose do these things out of free will. And they will answer for these things in the end from the judgement of God. Earlier I read a post on here someone asked that if there are angels then why do bad things happen to children i.e. A man kidnaps, rapes and kills a little girl. the answer to this is free will. Satan can influence the man to rape, kill, kipnap without any interference from God because of the fact we as humans have free will to choose. This same man will answer for his doings to God when his times comes. I hope this answered your question as the previous post above me also highlighted freewill, I just elaborated on it more.
  • Satan will not win ,He has a short Period of time to try and turn as many away from serving God as he can. Revelation chapter 12 :verses 7 And war broke out in heaven: Mi´cha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! 11 And they conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death. 12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.
  • Tulsa says that Satan is deceived. He isn't. He knows that his days are numbered and that he cannot win. His compensation will be to take as many of us as possible with him when he is done away with. His followers, the demons, admitted this in the account of the demon/s possessed men . Matthew 8;28,29 28 When he got to the other side, into the country of the Gad·a·renes´, there met him two demon-possessed men coming out from among the memorial tombs, unusually fierce, so that nobody had the courage to pass by on that road. 29 And, look! they screamed, saying: “What have we to do with you, Son of God? Did you come here to torment us before the appointed time". "BEFORE THE APPOINTED TIME". If the demons knew, so did Satan. Satan was NOT deceived.
  • Satan and God are the same size. If Satan were smaller and satan still exists then we have a mean god. A very mean ,nasty , rotten unforgiving god . Just maybe god and satan are one of same.
  • Regardless of what translation is used all bibles say the same about satans time in revelation
  • First of all god in not more powerful then satan and satan wins all the time. Little children die all the time. Young woman get raped all the time War are always happening all the time. Nice people get beat up all the time. And there are nice people who think they have a direct connection to the big man with dogmatic answer all the time. there is always someone around who will buy the Brookline bridge all the time. And there are cynics like me
  • Satan can't win. Why's he still around? According to Hebrews 2:14, Jesus came to destroy Satan, who has the power over death. Apparently Satan, before his fall, was given the power over death, and when mankind rebelled he essentially gained control over all their souls, even those of Abraham, Elijah, and the other patriarchs. In Revelation 1:18 we see that through Jesus dying on the cross and apparently descending into Hell, he took that power from Satan and now has the keys of hell and of death. Satan now has no power over those who find Jesus (Romans 8:2) and are freed by what is now His power of eternal life to give. Satan knows he has little time left (Revelation 12:12) and is spending his time organizing one last, desperate effort to rebel against God through one last, great deception which will lead to a world empire that tries to destroy Christianity and murder all Christians everywhere before Christ can return. Jesus is waiting to come only to give more people time to escape the penalty of eternal separation from God through Him (Jesus). Whether He'll come when the last person who'll ever come to Him does so, or when the world persecutes Christians so much He can't wait any longer, He is coming again. And as He says in both Matthew 12:30 and Luke 11:23, those that aren't with Him are against Him, and are siding with Satan. There are only two sides, two kingdom's, that of Jesus, and that of Satan. Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. He is more then the Prince of Peace, He is also the King, the unconquerable Warrior, and everyone not with Him is standing on the tracks, and the train is coming through. Call me intolerant, call me hateful, but I really would be if I didn't tell you this simple truth.
  • Satan will NOT nor EVER win against God because God is omnipotent (i.e., all-powerful) and omniscient (i.e., all-knowing). Satan is a created entity. Before Satan became "the adversary" he was the highest angel and called Lucifer meaning "light-bearer," but because of his conceitedness and arrogance and sin against God, then God overthrew Satan and casted him down to Earth. Satan's ultimate future will be to spend eternity in the lake of fire, or hell as most of us Christians know it to be. I hope this answers your question!
  • Bassically Satan is so full of absolute hatred, that he just wants to drag down as many souls to the Lake of Fire with him. The Bible says that he knows that his time is short. Satan is after you and me, but so is my God. And anyone who calls upon His name will be saved! JESUS!
  • How can God and Satan not be the same? All humans are capable of both the worst atrocities and the greatest of good. Are we all not made in the image of God? Doesn't from each of us flow both good and evil? Doesn't the fear of hell and satan lead men to do good things? Doesn't jealousy of God lead even angels to evil? There is no such thing as pure good or evil. They are all the same thing. Actions and their effects can and will be both good and evil. Killing for any reason is wrong. This is recognized by most faiths across the world. It is a basic truth. But what should one due when an innocent baby is going to be killed by some person and you have no way of stopping them save for killing them? Surely, to allow such an evil to occur is just as evil as doing it yourself. Knowingly not doing good, not preventing evil, is morally just as wrong as doing it yourself. So you are left with inaction, inherently good (at least in the sense you are not killing anyone) with an evil effect that you are responsible for or an evil action with a good effect. Either way, both good and evil will be streaming out of you simultaneously, affecting the whole balance of light and dark in the world. The good news is all actions will be equally good and evil no matter what. That balance can never be disturbed by our actions only by God. God's inaction proves that he is also Satan. How else can we explain the existence of evil in the universe? Blame the original sin? Blame humans? Perhaps blame Satan? God created the universe, the whole, the everything we are capable of conceiving of. How can the greatest source of good and light create a world that is even capable of tolerating evil much less spawning it? Why has he not simply sent it all away with his infinite power that nobody can deny? Free will is what you would most likely say next. That was also another gift from God. He not only gave us a world that tolerates evil but he gave us the method to create evil. In fact, it almost seems like he respects this method more then anything else. It is the one thing that limits God's power, his influence in our world. He stands back, does nothing because of his tremendous reverence for this 'Free Will' while it is also the source of evil in this world. How can an infinite, truly good God have respect for and allow his power to be limited by something that creates evil? Is it his grand plan? What kind of plan not only allows for evil but in fact necessitates it? It implies that good can come from evil. Well, of course it can. After 9/11, America united together, lifted up their hearts, stopped fighting with each other, and did the best they could to bring good forth. It was truly inspiring. Of course, it was caused by quite a terrible act. Don't they say all great heroes need really horrible villains? The reason is simple enough, you are not good unless there is an evil to compare you to. Good and evil are inseparable. A truly righteous person can inspire jealousy and hatred in others. A truly vile person can bring courage and strength of will to fight evil to others. This is a universe where every force has an equal and opposite force. Good will always create evil and evil will always create good. It is an inevitable fact of existence because they are really one and the same. Personally, I rather not believe in a God. I don't want something as all-powerful and evil as Satan influencing this world or should i say God/Satan? It is much easier for me to believe we are alone then to believe a great force is conspiring against us. Of course, that does not mean I do.
  • In my eyes, Satan lives in a mind of denial and in a world of hatred, therefore , not letting him clearly see that he HAS BEEN and ALWAYS WILL be defeated by the Lord, Jesus Christ. The only way the devil , Satan , can defeat us is to falsely terrorize our image of Lord , Jesus Christ , and therefore falsify our outlook and views upon the Lord. As a token of deceit , the great dragon , Satan , will therefore impose on us the power of wealth, greed, and absolution upon our souls on this earth , if we give into temptation and pour our spirits into the One who is he to destroy and devour. We have an almighty choice and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to make this choice. I view the option like this , since I am a new christian and I have seen great and drastic improvements in my life with the help of my Lord, Jesus Christ. We can either admit to ourselves and to Lord, Jesus Christ , our sins and that we have certainly been wrong for what we have done and that we realize that the Lord, Jesus Christ , died on the cross and shed his blood for OUR sins , and offers to us never-dying and ever-lasting love if we simply accept his name , Jesus Christ , into our hearts as our Lord and Savior. That is the very easiest and best option for a single human being to choose on this earth. The other option is , we can live in denial , deceit , and we can live forsaken and in rural defeat for all of our lives and we can give into the Master of Deceiving , Satan , and we can forever suffer in the Lake of Fire with Satan and forever be tortured DAY AND NIGHT. That is my look on Christianity and how easy it is to take the Lord, Jesus Christ , into your heart. I hope this will help clear up on disputes.
  • Satan can do better than win. Satan has the opportunity to create a win-win situation for everybody. All he has to do is, at the battle of Armageddon, order his legions of demons to kneel down and surrender, at which time Satan and all his demons repent. This gives God the opportunity to exhibit infinite mercy and forgiveness, since up until now he has shown only finite mercy by forgiving us finitely sinful mortals. Just when everyone thought God was really great, he gets to prove himself even greater than anyone imagined! Forgiving Satan is a small price to pay, and Satan, who is surely tired of all the drama by now, gets to end his disgrace and come back home a hero (for having given God such a wonderful opportunity for greatness). And they'll all live happily ever after.
  • well he could win for a second if he decieves someone
  • There is a simple answer, Satan is a myth, born on the need of the belief in God. Ignorant people needed to be afraid of something.God isn't that good, but he punished and destroyed all that was against him. In the Bible we can't find a single think about God being good to the people; only thinks are related into the Bible are the amusements (impure jewish tribes, Sodom and Gomorra, etc...Is God that good? In the Bible stays that only 144.000 souls (no't people) are going to be saved. Are all 6 billion people that bad, that they've no't deserved to be saved? Punishments and treats ... The Holly Book don't tell us the truth. Big chapters were cutted from it and maybe we should never know what that was...
  • he wont
  • God and Satan don't exist, so your point is moot.
  • Satan will not ever win. Satan's eternal fate awaits him on the Day of Judgement; the lake of fire and brimstone. I hope that this helps. -In the Master's service. Thank you and God bless you!
  • Here's a thought that'll get me downrated - What if "God" Is really "Satan?" See, if Satan is looking for followers, he'd be smart enough to set up a religion that inspires blind faith, and discourages people from questioning its word or authority. Being evil, he'd have no problem with finding some poor sap, making it seem like the fella had crazy powers, and then killing him off. Also, He'd be smart enough to know that God would be smart enough to try and bring people back to his camp - so instead of painting his opposition as a Outright evil one, he'd paint him as seductive and tempting. Hell, maybe he'd even just invent someone evil, to drive people to his religion. Now, I'm going to go make myself another cup of tea, and watch with amusement the torrent of incoming downratings.
  • OK....follow me here. I think the answer to the question "If God is more powerful than Satan, how can Satan ever win?" has to do with Free Will. If it is written that God wins, no matter what, then if we follow God or Satan does not matter - our choice was already cast, or the choice itself didn't matter. But, if we have Free Will (and I think we do), then the choice DOES matter. If it matters, then you can envision a scenario in which enough people turn from God to Satan that Satan does indeed win. The problem with the above scenario is that, for it to be true, God himself is not all-powerful (since he can lose). And this brings me to a disturbing conclusion: Either God is all-powerful and, thus, we don't have actual free will -or- We do have free will, and, thus, God is not all-powerful. And, if he's not all-powerful, what the heck are we worshipping him for? Can somebody talk me out of this paradox?
  • God is the only winner period. Satan already tried and keeps trying, but our good loving lord always comes onu on top and always will. praise the Lord.
  • Maybe God isn't necessarily the good guy. Maybe God just made Jesus and Satan as equal opposites.
  • He has to be very very sneaky and to do that YOU NEED TO QUIT REMINDING PEOPLE OF HIM
  • Satan is a created being! Created to do God's will. Note:- Who created evil? God says He did! For his purpose. What God created was "good" IE Satan was perfectly created for evil. Satan answers to God, that's why he asked permission to attack Job.Satan's authority comes directly from God. God cannot sin or tempt man with sin, so he "commissioned" a being who could, Satan. There is no win or lose here. God wins, there was only ever a contest in the minds of mankind! But why would God do this? That's the 10,000 dollar question!
  • The plain and simple fact is that Satan can't win. Sorry, thats just how it is.
  • In the end Satan loses. It is a certainty. But in a particular point of view he could win too. He is all about taking away from the worship of God, and every person that rejects God be it through atheism oe satanism, buddism, etc.. he gets small victories.
  • Just my humble opinion. God and Satan are two sides of the same coin. Just like humans have the possibility to do good and evil. The possible ultimate power in the infinite multiverse has no polarity. It just is. It is the way the power is manipulated and what it is used for that come under the limited labels of good and evil. And those are not always applicable either. With humanity 'fence riders' are looked down with more scorn than anyone who 'chooses a side'. Just as some of the higher powered beings can manipulate this power, but they are still polarized so this is possibly a limitation. God is the side which fixates on ultimate restraint and discipline. Satan is the side which fixates on ultimate pleasure and sensation. Logically speaking the best may be a moderation of both which would pretty much guarantee almost no negative fallout if any. If God/Satan would merge into an integrated being then that may be close to true balance. Fanaticism in any direction is a large reason for wars, crime etc. Having rich and poor creates an environment where crime can thrive. Having left and right side political and religious ideals create an environment where war and persecution can thrive. Not to mention racial and cultural extremes. Of course this does not cover all the reasons for the above problems just how it possibly reflects in the supposed war between God and Satan. How can a divided being actually mete true justice out to its creations? Ultimately the different god figures in their respective belief systems may be different ways to express the same idea. A method to explain and understand the universe from beings who have a certain level of understanding. Not saying these being do not exist in a certain capacity, but few of us will truly understand how until our perception is widened. And its a possibility that even an average human with the right knowledge may be able to acquire god-like powers. Ex: If man is able to find a way to retard cell death, telomere shortening, DNA/RNA damage, endocrine breakdown and the other markers of aging and death, we may well gain immortality as a species. This is why in mind and spirit I serve no one, man or god.
  • He can't.
