  • There's more profit in fighting a war. There's oil in them thar' hills!
  • The problem is that similar to the war in Iraq, there is no "finish line" with respect to the public school system or health care. Trillions of $$ are spent every year on education and health care but there will always be some people who have problems. We could triple the money spent in these areas and it wouldn't guarantee that every child will have a great education or every citizen would have adequate healthcare when they needed it. By what standard do you say the education or healthcare system is "good enough" or "just right".
  • Priorities. They'd rather test out their new weapons than educate our people.
  • Lobbyists from the Military Industrial Complex make sure that the money is spent on war machines. The money that is left over is spent on domestic issues and there is little left.War has big profits for these corporations, but help the domestic economy very little.
  • Because we're already wasting the money on the war.
  • That's because the wrong party stole the election of 2000 and have hijacked the American government and the rest of us have stood around warming our thumbs and questioning what happened when it is apparent that a 7 year old crime has yet to go punished. What more can I say: might took it upon themselves to make right.
  • OIL OIL OIL, rich getting richer... Reforming healthcare and school systems costs too much with no return...
