  • No. Once the vehicle is running, the battery serves no function. All electrical components are powered by the alternator.
  • For a misfire the more likely culprit is your coilpack. The battery, as darryl said, is not relevant here. You could have a problem with your spark plugs - replace them just to be sure. Next to check is your spark plug wires. Then you move to the coil pack. Hopefully it stops there.
