  • of course im not racist but i'll laugh my ass of when i here a racist joke there just funny (well some of them)
  • I don't personally find them that funny. Just a personal opinion though.
  • Mmmkay. I'm black/irish/english/french/german/native, i'm a woman and i'm bisexual. all great jokes are going to have some potential to offend. I laugh at anything that's funny. People have to loosen up. Laughing takes all the power out of remarks intended to be hurtful anyway. If you can laugh at the good ones, then when one that's just hateful comes along, people will take it seriously if it offends you.
  • I am a racist - I like my race and a lot of the people who are of it. Other races have imparted behaviors that are different from those of my race and i find them interesting or amusing, or both, or disgusting in some cases, like my friend Srini who always eats with his left hand - no fork, just the hand. I'm sexist - I like to open doors for ladies and manage their chairs when they sit. I stand when they enter and leave the room if they're in my party/group. I let them go first when appropriate, or follow when we're going down stairs or steps. I know they will be living long after I pass, but I treat them with gentleness and respect, always. I'm homophobic - I like for men to be with women because it's natural. Men with men or women with women is not natural. It's none of my business and i don't interfere with other people's affections, but I'm still homophobic, it seems. Given these flaws, I know where I stand, so if a joke is funny, I laugh because I earn it.
  • of course i can. IT'S A JOKE, GET OVER IT!
  • Definitely. Loosen up, lady.
  • It is perfectly ok to laugh at any joke aslong as it is said in the manner of a joke. If it is a joke said seriously and it is racist (ect) then I wouldent laugh. Watch any Chris Rock comedy show and you will see alot of white people in the crowd laughing their heads off even though most of his material is racist towards white people!
  • Not to me. There are many truly wonderfully funny things to laugh at in this world that have no racist/sexist/homophobic overtones. I can do without the "jokes" that have the potential to hurt people. Just my take on things, since you did ask.
  • Yeah, it's a joke and all jokes are based on steroetypes that we all know aren't true. They're funny because of the exagration, not because we acctually belived it.
  • I do laugh at blonde jokes, I'm blonde.
  • I laugh at a joke when I find it funny - I'm mixed, and can find the humor in a "white" joke and "black" jokes. Ever see Crash? I laughed my a$s off at everything in that movie (the cultural jokes). I think that in order to get past something like racism, sexism, homophobia, you have to be able to find the humor in it and move from there. If you can't laugh at yourself then you're taking yourself too seriously. Jokes about white people not being able to dance or black people having big lips, or gay men being overtly feminine show that people don't really take those stereotypes seriously enough to consider them offensive. Well, that's the case with me anyway.
  • i just laugh when its funny i dont really mean it AT them i will even laugh at jokes about my race and everything just whats funny.
  • i just laugh when its funny i dont really mean it AT them i will even laugh at jokes about my race and everything just whats funny.
  • I might laugh at a mild joke; but I find that for the most part, jokes like that aren't mild. They are deeply hurtful and hateful. I think it's best to err on the side of caution and find something else to joke about.
  • WHY DID YOU GIVE THE RACIST SO MANY FREAKING POINTS I HOPE TO GOD HES TROLLING AND I HOPE ALL OF YOU ARE TOO
  • If you don't have a sense of humor about that stuff life has got to be miserable for you. I even laugh of the jokes that make fun of me.
  • you bet as long as they are funny
  • Yes totally. I do all of the time, even blonde jokes.
  • Of course! Often they are really good jokes. I don't care if they are a blue gay hermaphrodite(who would really be bisexual if you think about it.). I consider them just another person like you or me. Jokes are just that, jokes, not to be taken seriously. Slurs are for serious discriminative racists and are for offending. I never use them.
