Yes , I prefer that they point the mistake out to me , only in a helpful and polite way + 5

Point it out, in a nice way :-) Everyone makes mistakes, just take me aside and tell me, don't make a big fuss.

I think most people will not point them out when you're younger but as you get older and mature you remember things and you sort them out yourself and look back and think , " How could I have been so stupid ?"

I'd really rather someone pointed out my mistakes so that I can learn from them and not repeat them. Ignoring errors is not going to make them go away and I'd prefer to catch them early as opposed to having to suffer the consequences later on (although this can be part of the learning process). If I'm making a lot of mistakes (this would of course depend on the task), it would be perhaps best if someone only showed me the large ones to begin with otherwise I could be overloaded.

Depends on the mistake, for example if it was a slight mistake of grammar on a BBS who cares!, however if it was someone who deleted data from a work computer then I would point this out to them, possibly in a rude way:-)

You'll never learn unless you realize something is wrong or not quite right. We don't come fully equipped to know right from wrong and how to do all things. It takes kind helpful people to reach out to us and nudge us on the right path. I don't like people pointing out my mistakes to all, in public or for ridicule but there are ways to share a helping hand or suggestion in privacy and that's how I like to do it. And I have to know the person well, too, if it's a sensitive matter.

Only the ones that are big enough to notice and that I can fix -p and not notice and fix on my own. If I heard from people about ALL my mistakes, it would be a constant flow of data into my ears and it might affect my self-concept and confidence.
