  • Thanks for the info i didn't knew that. Now i know what to do. good question
  • You no sooner put up that question and you get trolled right away, this +5 will offset that.
  • Are you referring to my answer to rickster , I only wanted to let him and others know that were not allowed to ask for points in any way - and I explained that in a nice and polite way +5 good question Jodie
  • I didn't know that, but suspected it.
  • Just FYI - response from AB-Joel http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/330722
  • Jodie, excellent question. It's a good way to point out the policy to new members who may be unfamiliar with it. To be honest, I never knew a policy existed until you informed me. I myself have violated it a few times since then and because of that, I speak for all of us when I say that we all need a gentle reminder
  • No, apparently, not everyone is aware. It's true, though http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/996034
  • Oh, we will now. By the way he's back.
  • That is an excellent policy. Also, it works. It is hard as Hades to do but, really, it DOES work. Feed a troll, it comes back. Giving attention is feeding the troll. Now, with clones, I am for a few naming the clone as a clone so others do not believe the clone is the original. I do not think that goes with AB policy but, if I see a clone, I am going to name it as such.
  • I did know that, but I am glad you have brought it up. I have not been on a lot lately and gladly seem to be missing the trolling (although I recall how irritating it was a while ago when a certain troll was using AB heavily). This is a good way to let people know how to handle the issue. :) Cheers for you Jodie!! :) Hooray!!!
  • realy thank you for telling me this i did not know, but now that i do , i will keep it in mind.
  • I think that is a very good policy. Earlier today it was endless postings of negative things back and forth, the more people saw it the more they wanted to respond. It was absolutely sickening.
  • thanks for an attempt to make people more aware, jodie. i was actually unaware of the policy; i thought it was more of a personal policy that i was trying to instill in others. i can't figure out why anyone would want to give these so called "trolls" attention or recognition anyway, that's exactly what they're after.
  • Thank you for the information. I did not know that. :) You are amazing, though, despite your protestations. :)
  • Yes, I did know it.Joel said this in an answer too.
  • Only answering to put this back up on the home page
  • Alright, good to know. It actually makes complete sense and I don't know why I didn't figure it out already.
  • Thank you....I did not know that. It is kind of hard sometimes. Maybe I should put up a post it on the computer to remind me. It helps me at work.
  • Makes sense to me. The fact that an ATC (anti troll club) exists is the reason "trolls" do what they do.
  • Can someone explain to me what a troll is? And what all this is about. New to this computer world. Thanks
  • I am. Drives me nuts when people spend an hour throwing rotten tomatoes at a troll rather than reporting or ignoring them. When that happens, the trollish behavior escalates AND they can continue to post until a CL runs into the troll and hands them an orange AB jumpsuit.
