When I was little, I remember being mesmerized when I saw Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard. A parody of Shakespeare's Hamlet about two of the minor characters that were offed in the beginning. It's absolutely brilliant and the dialog is snappy and quick witted. Rocks my socks.

Rent, even if i cant see it on broadway ive seen the movie part its shortened a lot but it counts. Its an amazing story, Jonathan Larson was way beyond his years when he wrote it. I think the problems faced in the musical will always be around so this is a wonderful way to show the world they are there.

Of ALL time? Well, that would be Hamlet. But of the more recent varieties, it's Sweeney Todd, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

An Enemy of the People by Henrik Ibsen. I like how he sacrifices for the truth and well-being of his community even though it results in him being seen as an enemy of the people he is protecting. It reminds me of the Socratic ideal that it is better to be good and thought wicked than wicked and thought of as good.

My favorite play of all time is hands down Charleys Aunt. A wonderful farce. The line that sticks in my head is "Brazil-its where nuts come from". I really identify with that line.

The Mystery of Edwin Drood. It was my first main stage show, and even though I was not the star I was a featured player. It's a show where the audience gets to choose the ending. Every night I got to say "the killer was..." Except for the night I got to say "Lord Love Me, I killed Edwin Drood!"
