It could be that you are a little more stressed than usual and/or your age appropriate hormones are causing the acne. In any case, it sounds like it's time for an upgrade in your facial regime. Find a facial cleanser that is specifically made to treat acne/blemishes. Neutragena is a good quality, reasonably priced brand that you can buy at most drug/grocery stores. Also, use a toner and oil-free moisturizer (of the same brand), both specifically to treat acne. Don't skip the moisturizer because if you dry out your skin, you will automatically produce more oil. You may want to try washing your face three or four times a day until the acne clears up, then you can go back to once in the morning and once in the evening. As for the acne along your hair line, make extra sure that you are rinsing the skin around your hair line as well as the rest of your face when you wash. Sometimes, when you don't rinse that area well enough, you can create the additional problem of clogging those pores. If that doesn't work, then you may need to switch to a shampoo for oily hair and pull your hair back off your face for sleeping.

Honey, stress will do this to you. On occasion, when I break out (and I still do at 40+), I ask my doctor for antibiotics to clear it up. See a dermatologist, or your GP. They'll set you up. Good luck with college!

Are you using any kind of hair styling products? Hair spray? Gel? Mousse?

If it is around your hairline, it could be hair product, not your facial cleanser. Did you recently start using new shampoo/conditioner or other hair products? Also, since it is summer, are you swimming in chlorine? Are you using sun screen on your face that you weren't using before? It could also be stress. Stress does crazy things to your skin.
