In Japan they have 10 second spots that sometimes repeat for 2 or 3 times. They make me feel like I have to go a mental institution. They drive me nuts.

I wouldn't say convince, Commercials remind me that i need something from there. And If I don't need anything, then I don't give them a second thought. I enjoy commercials for their entertainment values. The cavemen for Gieco are hilarious.

Not at all. They may make me think about checking out their product the next time I happen to be at the store, but I wouldn't run right out and buy it.

No, but those Time Life infomercials make me want to buy music. I'm watching one now. I have quite a few Time Life collections. LOL Looks like I may order another soon.

Not unless it's some outlandish liquidation sale where everything MUST GO NOW!!! If crazy Bill wants to sell a good pair of shoes that cost $100 & they're on sale for $15, you sure bet I'm running to my car so I can get the deal of the decade. No,I usually buy non name products because they are manufactured by the same company in China that the advertisers use.They just slap their logo on it and charge more.I saw documentaries on it showing Nike runners were made by the same company that sells no name shoes.So in essence you are buying nike shoes without the logo for less than 1/3 the price.

No not really. The repetition of the brand name over several commercials I think is more effective than trying to get a consumer to buy based on impulse.
